My bears are created entirely by me in my home workshop. I use only the highest quality German and English mohair or alpaca, German glass eyes, and other materials including stuffing, cotter pin and locknut disc jointing systems, upholstery-weight thread, wool felt, and ultra-suede.
The general size range is 9" to 22". I create my own patterns, and stitch small areas by hand and larger areas by machine. I use color accenting, dry brushing and needle sculpting to enhance the personality of each bear. For most of my larger bears I apply custom-painted finishes to the glass eye backing to achieve amazingly real-looking or “fantasy” eyes complete with hand sewn ultra-suede, leather or satin cord eyelids.
Most of my bears are one of a kind; only rarely will there be a limited edition offered. Special requests are welcome. The bears have my sewn-in "Hannabears" tushtag as well as a signed, laminated hang-tag that has a photo of the bear and list of components.
How to Order
To request a bear for adoption, please notify me via email at: karen@hannabears.com
Please provide your name, address, and telephone number. I will email you an invoice for the purchase price plus insured shipping charges (8.25% sales tax added to purchase price for Texas residents). Payment will be due within 7 days of placing the order.
The following methods for payment will be accepted:
Credit Card (PayPal is my authorized processor for credit cards)
or Cashier’s check
I will email you upon receipt of payment and will ship your carefully-packaged bear promptly via US Priority Mail. Other methods of shipping can be used upon request.
